Lighting the opening of Premier Padel in Spain in Gijón

From 2 to 8 March, Gijón hosted the first Spanish stop of the 2026 Premier Padel circuit with the Gijón Premier Padel P2, an event that once again placed professional padel at the heart of the national and international sporting calendar.

Led Projects was part of this event, delivering our lighting solution alongside MejorSet, official manufacturer and installer of the Premier Padel panoramic court, in a setting where every technical detail is critical to the development of play.

The Palacio de Deportes de la Guía–Presidente Adolfo Suárez saw a strong public response, with over 24,000 spectators throughout the week, confirming the growing interest in the circuit during its first visit of the year to Spain. In this context, lighting plays a key role in ensuring consistent visibility and stability throughout the competition, for both players and spectators.

Our intervention focused on delivering lighting uniformity, glare control and visual precision across the entire court—essential factors in a high-demand competition such as Premier Padel. The seamless integration with the court and other technical elements ensured a consistent playing experience throughout the week.

From a sporting perspective, the tournament delivered a high level of competition, with Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto claiming the men’s title, and Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay winning the women’s draw, bringing a week of top-level action to a close.
