A padel court illuminated by Led Projects brings technology and sport together at Shoptalk Europe

Padel once again demonstrated its ability to extend beyond the boundaries of sport during Shoptalk Europe 2026, held from 8 to 11 June at Fira Gran Via Barcelona, one of Europe’s leading events for retail and e-commerce. As part of the exhibition, Auger, the German technology company specialising in autonomous operating systems for global supply chain management, incorporated a padel court into its activation space, transforming it into a meeting point for thousands of industry professionals.

The court was built by Ingode Padel Courts, the Alicante-based international manufacturer of padel courts, while Led Projects designed and delivered the lighting scheme using its Line+ solution, developed specifically to meet the requirements of this type of installation.

Unlike a conventional sports facility, the challenge was to integrate the court within an exhibition environment where functionality had to coexist with architectural aesthetics and the visitor experience. To achieve this, the project incorporated a lighting solution featuring sport-specific asymmetric optics for padel, providing excellent uniformity and visual comfort while maintaining the architectural integration required for an event of this nature.

The presence of a padel court at one of Europe’s leading technology exhibitions reflects the sport’s growing role as a platform for networking, business engagement and brand activation. Beyond competition, padel continues to establish itself as a space capable of creating meaningful connections between businesses, innovation and people in an increasingly diverse range of environments.
